This approach can provide unusually rapid relief of the symptoms from traumatic experiences. Trauma involves parts of the brain that are usually not accessible through conscious, verbal interaction alone. Therefore, methods that reach non-conscious, somatic experiences have particular value in treatment. Precise visual brain stimulation in conjunction with an interpersonal process is an effective means for changing symptoms of traumatic experiences.
