Teri McBane L.Ac., M.O.M, B.S.
Acupuncturist and Herbalist
Teri McBane L.Ac. received her Masters in Oriental Medicine from the Dallas College of Oriental Medicine with 3000 hours of instruction and 167credit hours. She is licensed by the state of Texas to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.
Teri is certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (NCCAOM). Teri has been practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine for over 10 years. Five years after receiving her bachelors in Paralegal Science, she decided to make a career transition into Acupuncture in order to treat her ailing father. After his death and recently graduated, with a Master’s in Oriental Medicine, she opened her own clinic and began to grow as a healer.
Specializing in Emotional imbalances, she has learned though experience that in order for the patient to touch “core root” issues, which have been “ignored” and “masked” by stress, depression and fatigue, the “mind and body” must be treated together to bring the two into balance. The Wisdom of the old Chinese saying....“When the body is healed the mind will follow and when the mind is healed the body will follow”, suggests a powerful union between the mind and body. Once the patients’ mind begins to relax, and the physical ailments begin to subside, the mind and body will become balanced and true therapy can begin.
Teri also specializes in physical injuries, or long term physical ailments like sciatica and low back pain. When the body feels pain, the mind becomes overwhelmed... Teri's main goal is to eliminate or dramatically lessen the pain in order for the mind to heal too.
Teri will also suggest specific Chinese Herbal Formulas for your particular ailment or emotional disorder. They are in capsule form and cost between $20 to $40 every two weeks. It is recommended to talk to your doctor if you have concerns, especially if you are on chemotherapy.
